Calendar and settings

With JavaScript, the selected date is calculated in your browser. Without JavaScript, submitting the calculator sends the date in the page address to our server; it may appear in hosting logs. Language, country and region are suggested from browser information and time zone and can be changed. Manually chosen settings are stored only in your browser’s session storage until the browsing session ends. We do not request GPS location or use an external IP geolocation service.

Public and school holiday data

The data comes from OpenHolidays API. Our server retrieves and caches the public data. Your browser loads it from our website. Your IP address and browser identifier are not forwarded to the holiday source. Data is licensed under ODbL 1.0; source references and raw data are linked on the website.

Hosting and technical access data

Hostinger hosts this website on a server in Frankfurt, Germany; backups are stored in France. Hostinger processes technical access data, including IP address, time, requested file and HTTP request information, to deliver the website, maintain security and resolve errors. Germany and France are outside Switzerland.

Simple usage statistics

Our server counts page requests by day, language and year calendar. These statistics do not store IP addresses, browser identifiers, cookies, selected dates or query strings and do not identify individual visitors. Recognisable automated requests are excluded. We keep the current and previous eleven months to assess usage. Hosting logs are separate.

Cookies, advertising and external content

The calendar application does not set its own cookies. Session storage holds only your preferences. No advertisements or external visitor analytics scripts are currently active. Fonts are not loaded from external services. Before advertising is enabled, these notices and consent options will be updated.

Contact and retention

Information you provide when contacting us is used to respond to your request. It is kept only as long as necessary for that purpose or to meet legal obligations.

Your rights

Contact the operator above to request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal data. The conditions and exceptions of applicable data protection law apply. The Swiss supervisory authority is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

Data accuracy and liability

All calendar, public-holiday and school-holiday information is for general guidance. We do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness or timeliness. Regional, local and school-specific differences and short-notice changes are possible. Confirm binding dates with the relevant authority, municipality or school before making plans. Liability for losses arising from use of this information is excluded to the extent permitted by law. Mandatory statutory liability remains unaffected.
